In June, my aunt, cousin & I went to go see the Monkees! They were fantastic and we got the perfect seats. By the encore, my cousin Morgan & I were up front singing "I'm a Believer". We followed the hundred others who had formed a line of backstage passers. Before we knew it we were delirious, thinking of every little thing: our appearance, what we were going to say, how much of our excitement level/ fangirl-ness we were showing. We turned the corner and saw them come into view and everything else faded. I handed the camera to the photographer and made my way toward Micky who held out his hand asking how I enjoyed the show. As I shook it, Morgan, who couldn't hold her nervous excitement anymore, made an ecstatic smile and Peter did the same. We turned and posed for the camera. I shook Davy's hand as he said, "I like your bowtie, it's cute!" I thanked him and we started out. I turned and Peter was adorably waving to us. In that moment I just wanted to run up to him and give him another hug (I gave him a hug last time I met him), but I refrained. We headed out the door, down the steps, met my aunt (who didn't have a pass) and took in the night air as we shook off any nerves and released the rest of our fangirl-ness. We recounted our moments we just shared and went to bed infinitely happy that night.

OH MY GOODNESS. SO amazing! I'm a big Monkees fan. I saw all of the show's episodes and love all the vinyl records. hehehehe. Micky was always my favorite, but that's because I played drums. . just like Ringo is my favorite beatle.
