Flight plans & Small delays

Sorry, I haven't been on much. I have been busy with phone calls and traveling plans for my mission trip to Ukraine! After the camp I'm helping at, I'm hoping to stay there more than a week, but we'll see. Oh, and here's pictures of my vintage dress. It's by Alfred Werber. I can't find much about him online. Only that he designed clothes from about the 30's to the 70's. I'm pretty sure this is from late fifties to early sixties. And it fits perfectly. I'm also making a brown jumper that I wanted to finish this fall. I have so many things to sew and fix. I even finished a fifties-style dress this past summer except the hem and zipper. That's me..always starting projects and never getting around to finishing them. Even though I technically have all the time in the world, being homeschooled and all. I really just need a sewing room or at least a large sewing table, that way I would feel motivated to sew. Oh well, can't have everything. :){Lauryn}

The Great Candy Escapade

I bought a bunch of candy bars that I've never heard of or tried...until now.
(with the exception of the Charleston chew. One of my favorite candy bars!)

1. Zero bar - Caramel, Peanut and Almond Nougat cover in white fudge. A little strange, but good if you're a fan of almond flavor.
2. 5th Avenue - Basically a Butterfinger, with it's own taste. A little more chocolaty.
3. Oh Henry! - Really gooood. Similar to a Snickers bar.
4. Zagnut - Peanut butter covered in coconut. A bit dry, not my favorite.
5. Charleston Chew - Has been my favorite for years. I love nougat.
6. Skybar - Something else got it before I did...

7. Clark- Again, like a Butterfinger. I don't think it gets stuck in your teeth quite as much.

A couple days ago, my mom came home with a bag of clothes from my grandma. Upon sifting through, I found a vintage apron and a pretty silk scarf. I got a fabulous matching coat and dress from the 50's/early 60's. It was my great grandmother's. I heard she wore it to a wedding back then. It's polyester, but it has interestingly flattering seams on the front. I'll show pictures of it later.

"Let's all go to the Lobby..."

Bought these awesome little tin signs. I think I'll hang them in my dream kitchen someday.
